Into the sky

In August, my dear friend Nadine gave me a big surprise... and, once again, she hit the jackpot. Knowing of my ambitions of putting my head in the clouds (it must be a real nasty virus that affects our familiy) she organised nothing less than a sightseeing flight for me. A friend of her is a pilot... and was up to take me along. Well, I didn't need to be told twice, and in no time I was sitting together with Birgit, my dear friend from the Dallenwil, in a Robin (a cute little prop airliner).

Seeeee bro? I can also pose in front of an aeroplane!

The crew and its expectant passengers were: Laurent (pilot), Thomas (passenger and future pilot?), Birigt (our 'greenhorn' regarding flight experiance and the first time in such a little plane) and my humble self.

Engine, ENGINE? Was it the red or green button...?

In no time we were up in the sky...

Eventhough the weather was trying to spoil our pleasure, we took off at 5.30 p.m... our heading: Kägiswil, Sarnersee, Lungernsee, Brünig, Meiringen, Grindelwald, Eiger, Sustenpass, Wassen, Altdorf, Seelisberg, Buochs, Stans, Alpnach, Kägiswil (more or less...)

It goes without saying that we had a great time and enjoyed every minute of our trip.

Good gracious, time was running, and too soon it meant 'TOUCH DOWN' and we were back in Kägiswil.

I truely hope I'll have to possibility to tickle the clouds again before long.
